The best movies cannot be decided in any way considering that the term best is quite subjective. If a movie is viewed by a large number of viewers, there will be a number of people for whom the movie was excellent or very good whereas for some it would be just a movie and the rest of the viewers may grade the same movie as sub standard. In fact, the artistic acts of a movie can never be quantified despite being a great number of lists being created for top ten movies or top 100 listed movies directory for that matter or even the list of best of the century. Besides, the views of critics and the viewers stay changing from time to time but the movies about whom neither the critics nor the viewers switch their positive judgments are the those which can be called as the best movies.
It is not just the title which can bring any movie of 2002 to be the best, there are a lot of points in a movie which when correlate in a true spirit carry the movie to the peak. Rating of the movie is determined by the best performance in all forms of art like acting, direction, script, screenplay, selection of artists, sound, dubbing, editing for that matter you name a thing and it produces an effect.
The proper method to assess a certain movie today is to perform a study which is a bit time and effort taking but can rate a movie to its actual worth. Often the movies are rated best or stupid by means of the display at the box office. However, a fair and wide survey gives the actual ranks. Over a period of time it is established that the movies found once in the top list are the one which repetitively appear on the top lists as a result of separated researches.
Declaration of best movies is not solely for the points discussed earlier; in truth it depends on the trend of the time also. The movie “Night Mare on the Elm Street” or “The Predator” gave birth to a trend and at that time, a lot of movies coming out on similar lines yet not all of them could attain the level of best, just a few did. Movies like Death at a Funeral, “date with an angel”, “God father”, “the forest Gump”, “the gladiator”, “the good the bad the ugly” or “walk like a man”, “superman”, “Spiderman” may be mentioned as all-time best but of course there would be so many of us who would rate these movies nowhere near the best.
There is an agreement within many movie historians, critics, and the viewers that the movies once scored best are for sure a part of the most critically investigated, significant, and must-see films of their times. These are the movies which leave continuous and unforgettable imprints on us. They amuse, satisfy, educate, and touch us emotionally. Most of these best movies were produced years ago and might have been overlooked on first release but the time endured test proved them to be the best.
